Since the day of Maria’s WWE release people have been asking if she’d ever return to a wrestling ring. Many have speculated that she might even eventually end up in TNA. Today a fan on Twitter asked if she’d come back to wrestling. Here’s what Maria’s had to say:
No. I had an amazing time with all the great superstars and divas but music and acting is my life now. Maybe an apperance bur never fulltime. I still love wrestling though!! Love the fans!
Maria still loves wrestling, but also has many other interests outside of the squared circle. WWE was holding Maria back from achieving these dreams, and in a way, her release was a blessing in disguise. I had stopped watching wrestling for about a year before Maria’s release, but she was the reason I would make sure to DVR Smackdown every Friday.
Now Maria is on to bigger and better things. She competed on Celebrity Apprentice, was part of HDNet’s MMA broadcast team, released her first EP, Sevin Sins, a music video, and is now working on new music while pursuing a career in acting. Maria has been attending auditions and will be guest-starring in an episode of Night Tales. This is just the start of some amazing new projects from Maria Kanellis and I can’t wait to go along for the ride! Who’s with me?

Virgin Mobile has teamed with Sonicbids to find an up and coming indie band to open for FreeFest in September. The top 20 bands will perform in front of Virgin Mobile judges. On August 23rd the judges will announce the top 5 finalists for the music download final round of voting.
