Congratulations Maria on a very successful FIVE YEARS with the WWE! Today marks Maria’s fifth year with WWE. She has accomplished many things inside the ring, and is taking a short break to accomplish some outside. We hope she comes back to Smackdown soon! With Lillian retiring from the WWE, I think this makes Maria the longest running Diva in the company (correct me if I’m wrong in the comments).
Today is also the FOURTH YEAR for Maria-Kanellis.org being open! We are still here and currently one of the top Maria fansites online! We are forever thankful for your visits and I am sure Maria is too.

Maria tweeted about being in CT a few days ago, and now we know why. Maria will be a part of a special WWE “Deal or No Deal” which should air sometime at the end of November (we’ll let you know exact dates when that information becomes available). Maria will be one of the lovely “briefcase girls”, can’t wait to see this episode!
Maria was quoted in a Los Angeles Time’s interview discussing the WWE’s new “PG” rating and how it affects the WWE Diva’s.
The wrestling attire for the ladies has become more conservative as well. Maria Kanellis, one of the WWE’s “diva” wrestlers, used to perform in lingerie but these days tries to dress “a little more sophisticated” for her matches.
“The guys miss it, but that’s how it goes,” she said.
Her costumes now consist of leggings, lots of “fringe outfits and things that are sparkly.” It’s not unusual, she said, for some of the girls to get reprimanded for “showing too much cleavage,” something that would’ve never happened a few years ago.
