-With the creation of the smackdown ladies championship, the smackdown roster needed another diva that could wrestle. The decision was made to move Maria to Smackdown instead of Kelly Kelly.

Creative actually made a decision last week to not move any Divas as there wasn’t really anyone that absolutely had to be moved, but of course those plans were later changed what with Layla heading to Raw and Maria joining SmackDown in today’s Supplemental Draft.
