12-Diva Tag Team Match
At Backlash, the WWE Diva divide comes to a head as new Women’s Champion Mickie James captains a team of the Sexiest Women on Television against former titleholder Beth Phoenix and her squad of sultry competitors.
Just more than one week ago, Mickie scored one of the biggest victories of her career against The Glamazon, ending Phoenix’s lengthy reign as Women’s Champion. But before she could celebrate, Mickie found herself confronted by the former champion, who argued that the loss was nothing more than a fluke, a slap in the face to The Glamazon. Then, in front of a ring full of Divas, SmackDown’s Michelle McCool used an open palm to show Beth the true meaning of such a slap.

Raw Results
Maria, along with her fellow Divas Ashley, Cherry, Kelly Kelly, and Michelle McCool all came down to the ring. Maria got on the mic saying the impossible happened last week. We are shown clips of Mickie James winning the Women’s Championship from Beth Phoenix. Mickie James came out thanking the Divas and everyone who knew she could beat Beth. Beth’s music played as she came out with all the heel divas (Melina, Victoria, Layla, Natalya and Jillian) Beth got into Mickie’s face saying her win last week was a fluke. All hell broke loose as the Divas started to brawl after Michelle McCool slapped the face of Beth Phoenix. The heel Divas were quickly thrown out of the ring, as the faces stood tall.

Barack vs Hilary
With Democratic Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama locked in a heated battle for their party’s Presidential nomination, Raw has extended an invitation for them to instead settle their differences in the squared circle.
“I don’t know if I necessarily want the two candidates literally fighting in the ring. I would rather see them have some really great debates on what’s going to happen when they actually get into office. It’d be great to have $them here. If they want to have a verbal debate, sweet. But I don’t know how much I’d want to see Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton duke it out in the ring.”
Diva Dish: Golden girl
The Diva’s mother is on the top of her list of people she’d like to thank for their support. Next are fellow Raw beauties, Maria and Ashley.
“It felt good that they were there, because it shows that they really care,” Mickie said. “They’re my friends and they’re not just single-serving friends, as a movie once said. They actually really do care about me.”
The Divas are well-known for always being at the height of fashion, and many of them took the little free time they had in Europe to shop ’til they dropped. Naturally, Diva Dish talked to Raw’s fashion plate, Maria, first.
“I love the clothes over here because they are so different than they are in the United States. They’re cut better. I think over here there’s a lot more pattern and print then there is in the States, and plus, they get everything over here first,” Maria said of her shopping trip in Nottingham, England.
“Unless you’re in New York, you might get fashion about the same time, but New York style is completely different,” she continued. “So it’s always fun to come to Europe and do a little bit of shopping.”
